In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), the Diversity Committee within our Seattle office hosted a conversation with Craig Leen, a partner in the firm's Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice on 31 October.

This year's theme for NDEAM is "Access to Good Jobs for All." Craig sharedhis thoughts on hot topics in accessibility, disability, and inclusion rights, including digital accessibility, the benefits and risks of Artificial Intelligence (AI) impacting the disability community, and Neurodiversity in Workplace programs. Craig also discusses our firm's establishment of a Disability Inclusion Task Force, the many projects we are working on, and what these initiatives mean for us going forward in terms of celebrating and supporting accessibility, intersectionality, and neurodiversity.

Prior to joining the firm, Craig served as the Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), a federal civil rights enforcement agency at the US Department of Labor, where he led a comprehensive focus on the Rehabilitation Act for federal contractors and worked extensively with the Office of Disability Employment Policy, the agency that chooses the theme and promotes NDEAM. Craig also teaches Disability Rights Law at George Washington University Law School and serves on the Board of Disability Belongs and the Advisory Board of Disability:IN DC Metro.
