In our March HR Perspective, we were delighted to be joined by Peta Nowacki (Workplace Relations Consultant, Working Together) and Tony Fell (Director–Human Resources and Employee Relations, The Zalt Group). Peta and Tony are both regularly engaged by organisations and law firms to undertake complex and sensitive workplace investigations and will share their practical experience on what makes a good and bad investigation.

The discussion was facilitated by K&L Gates' Labour, Employment, and Workplace Safety partner Michaela Moloney and examined the following areas:
    • Latest developments and trends in investigations.
    • When you should and shouldn't be conducting workplace investigations.
    • How to set up an investigation that will withstand scrutiny from tribunals and courts.
    • Best practices for conducting a workplace investigation.
    • How to reach sound conclusions.
    • How to document investigation findings.
    • How to properly conclude an investigation.
